(2) Bachelor of Science Degree in Global Trade
*The International Business major emphasizes international business, international economics and other global courses, combined with indepth language study in either French, German or Spanish.
*The Global Trade major also focuses on international business, international economics and other global courses, but emphasizes language training to a lesser extent.
As you study international business, you broaden your awareness of the world, which is an important part of the liberal arts emphasis at High Point University. International Business students are exposed to a wide range of issues that focus on cultural differences and similarities. Graduates may expect to be employed in positions requiring significant foreign travel, which is encouraged during the student's career as well. Students may apply for a semester of study abroad in either England, France, Germany or Spain.
Our International Business faculty are committed to undergraduate education and scholarship. The international courses we provide and the primary interests and experience of our professors are diverse, ranging from international economic theory to applied international business operations in management, marketing and finance. We take pride in the quality of our teaching and in the progress and success of all our students.
The International Business program is conducted in cooperation with the Modern Foreign Languages Department. Our curriculum seeks to prepare the International Business graduate culturally and socially, as well as professionally, for this rapidly expanding field of employment.
